AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas Public Policy Foundation today welcomed Donna Kay Peterson of Austin as the new development associate.

Peterson, a graduate of Arizona State University, will assist in grant writing, donor relations and special event planning. She previously worked for the firm Gitenstein & Assadi Public Relations as a junior account executive.

“Donna brings a great deal of energy and excitement to the Foundation,” said Shari Hanrahan, the Foundation’s director of development. “She will help us maintain the strong relationships we enjoy with our donors.”

Established in 1989, the Texas Public Policy Foundation is a non-profit, non-partisan research institute that does not accept government funding. It relies primarily on the gifts of individuals and charitable trusts for its operating funds.

Peterson said she looked forward to working closely with Hanrahan and the Foundation’s investors.

“I am excited about the opportunity to introduce new people to the important work of the Foundation for Texas,” said Peterson.
