John Barrett is the Director of Research at Beacon Hill Institute at Suffolk University. He manages institute's State Tax Analysis Modeling Program (STAMP) and conducts research for other projects at the Beacon Hill Institute. Prior to joining the staff at the Beacon Hill Institute, Mr. Barrett was a Regional Economist for the Bureau of Economic Analysis and a Research Fellow for the Center for a Sustainable Economy, both located in Washington, DC. Mr. Barrett received his BA in Economics from the University of Connecticut and his MS in Economics from New Mexico State University.
