8th Annual Preserving the American Dream Conference

Houston, TX

The 2008 Preserving the American Dream conference will ask how land use can work without zoning and how toll road authorities can relieve congestion. The conference will include a tour of recent transportation and land-use projects in the Houston area as well as dozens of speakers and workshops on transportation and land-use issues. The Foundation is pleased to host a full-day health policy summit and roundtable exclusively for Texas Legislators and their staff. The program features health policy experts from think tanks and academic institutions from around the nation. This unique program is designed with an emphasis on in-depth discussion of key health policy issues, including public programs like Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program, health insurance regulation, provider regulation, and a look at health care reforms around the United States. Space is limited and registration is necessary.
