Policy Primer on Professional Pay For Professional Educators

This policy primer identifies key reasons why Texas policymakers and the education community should establish a professional compensation system (performance pay) for educators. Examining what is happening in Denver, Colorado — in the final stages of implementing a comprehensive performance pay system, garnering national attention and broad teacher support — we will identify the fundamental components of a successful, professional compensation system for Texas educators.
